Manicure products refer to tools or implements that are used to give manicure. Some of the many kinds of manicure products are cuticle pushers, cuticle removers, fingernail or toenail clippers, emery board and nail spa.
A cuticle pusher is a manicure product that is used to push the cuticle at very edge or bottom of the nail so that it is easier to remove using a nipper. A cuticle remover must first be applied. A cuticle remover is a liquid substance that is applied to the nails. A cuticle remover softens the cuticle so that it is easier to push and remove.
Fingernail and toenail clippers, also sometimes called nail cutters, are tools used to cut or trim and shape the nails. The nails are cut depending on the desired length. A fingernail or toenail clipper is different from an emery board.
An emery board is also used to shape the nails. A nail clipper is used to trim or shape the nail by cutting it. An emery board is used to shape a nail by creating a friction through rubbing the board on the edges of a nail. An emery board is also referred to as a nail file. The shaping of nails using an emery board is technically known as filing.
Today, there are manicure products that are not used manually. Electric appliances have been created to make manicure procedures easier. A nail spa, which is a kind of an electric manicuring appliance, refers to a small Jacuzzi that is especially structured and designed for the feet or hands.
