Manicure procedure refers to the steps to be followed when giving a manicure. Here are the basic steps of a manicure procedure that anyone may easily follow.
To follow basic manicure procedure you will need: some paper towels, 1 cuticle remover, 1 bottle of nail polish, 1 emery board, 1 nail trimmer, 1 pack of cotton balls and 1 bottle of fingernail polish remover.
The first step in this procedure is to remove any nail polish from the nails. Apply a small amount of nail polish remover on a cotton ball and wipe the polish off the nails.
The next step is to trim the nails. A fingernail trimmer is used for this step to re-shape or trim the nails.
After removing the nail polish, it is best to file the nails using an emery board. This will smooth the edges of the nails. An emery board is also used to better define the shape of the finger tips. A misconception is that an emery board is used on the surface of the nails. An emery board is used at the nail tips, not on the nail surface.
Pushing the cuticles is the next step. In this step, a cuticle cream is applied to the nails so that the cuticles become softer. When the cuticles are already soft, it is easier to push them using a nail pusher. Next, a nail polish color can be picked. The chosen nail polish may be applied to the nails. This is done by applying a base coat first, and then the color coat, followed by another transparent surface coat to protect the manicure.
